2027 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Colors: Full List & Options – The 2027 Hyundai Ioniq 5 arrives in the United States as a carryover model with only minor updates. Hyundai has streamlined the exterior paint palette by discontinuing two matte finishes while retaining a strong selection of standard, pearl, and matte options that complement the vehicle’s distinctive parametric pixel design.
According to official Hyundai Motor America change information and multiple independent reports based on order guides, the 2027 Ioniq 5 drops Gravity Gold Matte and Sage Silver Matte. The remaining colors keep the retro-futuristic aesthetic that has defined the model since its introduction.
Full List of 2027 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Exterior Color Options
Shoppers in the USA can choose from the following exterior colors for the 2027 Ioniq 5:
- Abyss Black
- Cyber Gray
- Atlas White
- Digital Teal
- Lucid Blue
- Atlas White Matte
- Ecotronic Gray Matte
- Ultimate Red
- Cosmic Blue Pearl
This list reflects the post-discontinuation palette confirmed across reliable sources covering the 2027 model year changes.
Most of these colors have been part of the Ioniq 5 lineup for multiple years. Ultimate Red and Cosmic Blue Pearl became more widely available in recent model years, while the two remaining matte finishes (Atlas White Matte and Ecotronic Gray Matte) continue to offer a premium, non-reflective appearance.
Matte Paint Options and Pricing Notes
Atlas White Matte and Ecotronic Gray Matte remain available. In prior model years, matte exterior finishes typically carried an upcharge of approximately $1,000. Buyers should confirm current pricing and availability by trim with a local Hyundai dealer or the official Hyundai USA configurator, as exact charges and restrictions can vary.
Matte paints require specific care to maintain their unique finish and may have different repair considerations compared with conventional gloss or pearl paints.
Color Availability by Trim Considerations
While the overall palette is consistent, availability of certain colors (especially premium matte or pearl options) can differ by trim level such as SE, SEL, XRT, and Limited. Ultimate Red and Cosmic Blue Pearl have historically seen broader availability across trims in recent years. Always verify current combinations on the Hyundai USA website or with a dealer, as order guides can include trim-specific limitations.
Interior Color Pairings
The 2027 Ioniq 5 continues to offer coordinated interior options that pair well with the exterior choices. Common interior themes from recent years include black, gray, and darker two-tone or accent combinations (such as dark green on higher trims). Specific interior availability depends on exterior selection and trim. Checking the official build tool provides the most accurate matching options for U.S. buyers.
Why Color Choice Matters for the Ioniq 5?
The Ioniq 5’s geometric, pixel-inspired design makes exterior color especially impactful. Lighter colors such as Atlas White highlight the clean lines and parametric details, while darker or bold options like Abyss Black, Ultimate Red, or Cosmic Blue Pearl emphasize the vehicle’s modern stance. Matte finishes add a distinctive, high-end look that stands out in the EV segment.
For U.S. shoppers, selecting a color early in the configuration process helps ensure preferred combinations are available, especially as the model transitions into the 2027 model year with a refined palette.
